Urgent requirement for Auto Mechanic
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- โข Inspecting whole vehicle including engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
- โข Well experienced in overhauling petrol engines & diesel engines.
- โข Conducting routine maintenance work aiming for vehicle functionality and longevity.
- โข Maintains vehicles, which includes cars, trucks, heavy vehicles like trailers and Forklifts etc.
- โข Performs routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
- โข Performing test drives, inspections, and other diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify where problems exist and determine which parts need to be repaired or replaced.
- โข Examines critical parts and systems using a standard checklist.
- โข Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical/electrical parts.
- โข Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job.
- โข Maintaining accurate records relating to vehicles model number, year of purchase, parts, and service history
- โข Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and requirements:
- โข Technical qualification/certification in Automobile Maintenance
- โข 5-8 yearโs work experience as an auto mechanic.
- โข Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
Competencies:
- โข Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- โข Strong communication skills are a necessary part of this position.
- โข Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair.
- โข Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- โข Ability to read service and repair manuals.
