Description:
Server Administrator
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.
Monitor server performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Perform regular system updates and patches to maintain security and performance.
Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues promptly.
Implement and maintain security protocols to protect server and network infrastructure.
Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Perform regular backups and test recovery processes.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Participate in IT projects, including server and net upgrades and migrations.
Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to ensure successful project implementation.
Monitor server and network performance using appropriate tools and technologies.
Generate regular reports on system performance, uptime, and security status.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in server and network administration.
