Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• • Purchase spare parts & components for the plant from the local market, in line with the approved cost & quality.
• • Support the purchasing function and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.
• • Maintain and update a list of suppliers with their products, costs and brands.
• • Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
• • Negotiate prices with suppliers to make business savings.
• • Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is maintained with all suppliers.
• • Ensure quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.
• • Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.
• • Responsible for the scheduling, preparation, processing of purchase orders/ documents and the issue of order in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management
• • Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• • Must have a valid Kuwaiti Driving License
• • Technical Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Any discipline
• • 8-10 Years of previous experience with solid knowledge and understanding of local market suppliers.
• • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
• • High level of ethics, integrity and honesty dealing with suppliers.
• • Must have experience using MS Office and experience with an ERP system.
• • Work independently and are comfortable making decisions.
• • Thrive in a collaborative work environment.
